During summer break, I happen to be working next to Madison Square Garden which is where the NBA Draft is happening tonight. A bunch of my Syracuse friends are trying to make it to the Theater at Madison Square Garden to see our boy, Jonny Flynn get drafted, and the line for the box office went all the way around the corner. Of course all rumors are that he is going to the New York Knicks, which coming from Syracuse, makes a lot of the students happy considering most are from the tri-state area and are Knicks fans. I’ve had a couple classes with Flynn and some other players on the Syracuse basketball team which was pretty cool. Supposedly, one of my friends helped Jonny out in Earth Science last semester. It will be interesting to see who the top picks are this year. It’s great to see him go to the NBA, but now we might be in a little trouble next season in the NCAA.
